Press release from NSSF: Resolution 19-163 Fails
We did it! Last night the Carson City, Calif., Council rejected Mayor Robles proposal to consider passage of Resolution 19-163. The Mayor has promised to revisit the issue in the future and we need to remain vigilant and prepared for another resolution in the future. The radical resolution was a near outright gun ban that would have been imposed in Carson, potentially violating the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens. If passed, lawful businesses would have be forced to cease operations and relocate as the resolution would have taken effect immediately.
To make matters worse Mayor Robles added this agenda item at the last minute in an effort to thwart opposition.
