Carson, California City Council Considers Firearm Ban

Press Release from NSSF: Join NSSF in Fighting Resolution 19-16

Tonight, Mayor Robles of Carson, CA will ask the City Council to consider passage of Resolution 19-163. If this radical resolution is adopted, a near outright gun ban will be imposed in Carson potentially violating the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens. Additionally, lawful businesses will be forced to seize operations and relocate as the resolution takes effect immediately upon passage.

When asked about the impact to lawful businesses in the city, the Mayor had this to say, “Technically, legally, (you) can’t ban gun dealers in the city, but we can regulate where they cannot be and we’re saying, we don’t want them in Carson.

Gun sales and gun possession would not be allowed within a one-mile radius of a school, park, church or day care, making it impossible for anyone to be in the city limits with a gun – the only exception would be having a firearm inside your home.

Please join NSSF® in contacting the Carson, CA City Council and telling them not to infringe on the constitutional rights of law-abiding businesses and Californians.
